high. HRI has calculated that Americans
spend more than $267 billion a year on
health and wellness.

Half of a million Americans spend more than
$50,000 annually on medicines.
An estimated 576,000 Americans spent more
than mediam household income on prescription
medications in 2015. This population of patients
grew an astounding 63% from 2014. The
population of patients with costs of $100,00 or
more nearly tripled during the same time period to
nearly 140,000 people.

The sickest 1% account for 20% of U.S.
