Number of biosimilars currently in development by China
China currently leads the world in the development of
biosimilars, with an estimated 269. India is close behind, with
257, and the US comes in third, with 187. Other countries active
in this area are South Korea (109), Russia (97), Switzerland ( 57),
Argentina ( 48), Japan ( 45) and Brazil ( 37).

Projected physician shortage by 2030
Comparing supply and demand, current doctor shortages are at
around 40,000, and are anticipated to grow to over 104,000 by 2030.

Patients who said the benefits of a product are more
important than the brand
In a survey of over 8000 patients in the US, UK, Germany and
France, over two thirds of respondents said that the benefits
of a product were more important than the brand. Only 31%
reported having a “strong affinity” for brand names.
